Fashion Emergency:
CINDY CRAWFORD says, nope, she's not calling it a career after all. (Whew! That's a relief!) Cindy said in an Instagram post yesterday that news of her retirement from modeling have been greatly exaggerated. Cindy says her quotes in United Airlines' Rhapsody Magazine were taken out of context . She said her retiring is "a running joke in our family. And every year, opportunities pop up that really excite me." Cindy added, "While it's true that I'm eager to shift my focus a bit to concentrate on my businesses, friends and family --I'm not making any final statements (not all headlines tell the whole story!)." (Bartha)
The Internet:
A new online petition at change.org is asking producers of the upcoming Nintendo game, "Detective Pikachu," to have actor DANNY DeVITO do the voice of the gumshoe in the English version of the game.
The petition already has more than 42-thousand signatures as of this morning, less than eight-thousand away from it's goal of 50-thousand.Idle gossip & unconfirmed rumors:
Great news, boys --DAKOTA JOHNSON is on the prowl for Mr. Right. Unfortunately, you won't find her on your favorite dating app. OK! magazine reports the "50 Shades of Grey" starlet flat-out refuses to join Tinder or any other singles' sites and admits she's a tad inexperienced in the tough world of romance. In fact, she says she can count on one hand the number of times a man has approached her. (Lee)
Rounding up the usual suspects:
That Oregon man with the bizarre name is in trouble with the law again.
BEEZOW DOO-DOO ZOPPITYBOP-BOP-BOP legally changed his name from DREW WILSCHKE five-years ago. Since then, he's been arrested multiple times on various drugs and weapons charges. His most recent run-in with police came last weekend when he was reportedly spotted tearing down fliers at a public library. When cops confronted him, Zoppitybop-Bop-Bop allegedly tried to flee the area but paused momentarily to hurl a brick at cops. He faces two counts of first-degree assault, malicious harassment and other charges. (Still)Grace notes from Vinny Marino:
PUDDLE OF MUDD was on stage Saturday night at the Adelphia Music Hall in Marietta, Ohio, when lead singer WES SCANTLIN flipped out. A YouTube video shows Wes pointing to a guy in the audience and claims that the guy (quote), "stole his house." This went on for a few minutes before the lights came on and the rest of the concert was canceled. The venue posted this on Facebook: "Thank you everyone who attended tonight's show! We apologize for the actions of the lead singer. Unfortunately it was beyond our control! Please send us a PM and we will issue you a ticket to the next show of your choice!" Wes was arrested twice in the last few weeks for breaking into a house that he once owned but was taken away in a foreclosure. No word on if the guy in the audience was a banker or a real estate agent, or if Wes was not in his right mind. The house is in Los Angeles, but Saturday's concert was in Ohio. (Marino)
