I'm a Poll Man:
According to a new report from Pew Research Center, we don't read about politics much anymore.
Pew says 91-percent of American adults received some news about the presidential election in the last week. Specifically, 24-percent of respondents said they considered cable TV news the "most helpful" source of information, followed by social media at 14-percent, local TV also at 14-percent, Web sites or apps, at 13-percent, and radio at 11-percent.
Network nightly news got 10-percent of eyeballs, and late-night TV comedy at three-percent.
And that's where we find the local newspaper in the Pew ranking, equal with late-night comedy at three-percent. National newspapers were even lower down, cited by just two-percent of respondents as the most helpful source of political news.
Still wondering how the guys topping the polls got there? (Kaye)Warning: note sexual content.
Forget about getting freaky on the beach with a tree-hugging liberal, you've got a much better chance with a stodgy conservative! Tough to believe, but the dating app Clover discovered that Republicans are 50-percent more likely to do "the deed" in grass, sand, the mountains or the outdoors than their left-leaning counterparts. (Lee)Valentine's treats:
Baskin-Robbins is making Conversation Heart Ice Cream Cakes for Valentine's Day.
The company says you can pre-order a cake for that special someone with one of three messages: "Love You," "Kiss Me" or "Be Mine."And Dunkin' Donuts is once again offering donut hearts. Back by popular demand, the "hearty" donut selection featuring two heart-shaped varieties: either filled with Brownie Batter, topped with chocolate icing and heart sprinkles of filled with Cookie Dough flavored buttercreme, and topped with chocolate icing and chocolate chips.
Chocolate designer shoes! Yes, please! There is a chocolatier in Dallas, Texas, who makes her treats in the shape of CHRISTIAN LOUBOUTIN heels --complete with a red heel! (For you women who want something for the guys, they make chocolate boots, too --after all, it *IS* in Dallas. Other samples HERE. Her name is ANDREA PEDRAZA. The NY Daily News says it's one of her more popular last-minute Valentine gifts for men to buy. Her prices range from $30 to $55 dollars. It costs more if you fill up the heel with... more chocolate!
