Fashion Emergency:
Be on the lookout for KENDALL JENNER'S eyebrows... they may be missing from her face. Again. Kendall recently appeared with LADY GAGA on the MARC JACOBS runway with bleached eyebrows. It's a look she's been made to wear before, which she calls "the worst." In Kendall's words, "It always freaks me out because every time they do it, I lose them. They literally fall OUT! It's bad --I really hate getting a bleach."
Marc Jacobs' makeup artist FRANCOIS NARS explained to PeopleStyle that bleached eyebrows help make "a blank canvas to change the structure of the eye." (Bartha)Looking at Logos:
...or maybe, "Looking at Legos"...! The folks at Legoland in Windsor, England, have built a Death Star out of Lego bricks.
It took 500-thousand pieces to make, and the final sculpture is nearly eight feet across and 10 feet tall, and weighs 1896 pounds --nearly a ton.
The construction took three days and will depict a scene from "Star Wars: Episode IV --A New Hope" when the Rebel Alliance attacks the Death Star. There will also be 16 Alliance ships made of Legos... although they're *much* smaller.
There are several Legoland locations in the US... including Carlsbad, CA, and Cypress Gardens, FL, plus Legoland Discovery Centers in Arizona Mills, AZ; Atlanta; Boston; Chicago; Dallas-Fort Worth; Westchester County, NY; Kansas City and Auburn Hills, MI, with another coming in Philadelphia. With any luck, the exhibition will be coming here after it wraps up in the UK.Trash talk and satellite dish:
CHELSEA HANDLER isn't one to mince words and has some serious opinions about KANYE WEST's mental health. The sassy blonde sounded off during an appearance with "ET Canada" saying that the rapper is "unstable," "delusional" and a "maniac." Chelsea points out that he went up and stole TAYLOR SWIFT's award six-years-ago, believes he's on the track to a breakdown and says he's been in this state for "years." (Lee)
The Reel Deal:
Gotta love this... fans of the movie "Ferris Bueller's Day Off" will be holding an event in Chicago --where the movie was filmed-- to mark the 30th anniversary of the film from May 20-22.
There will be a screening of the JOHN HUGHES film on May 21 hosted by film critic RICHARD ROEPER, the event will include a Q&A with Ferris' parents, CINDY PICKETT and LYMAN WARD and several other events.
One of the events is a re-creation of the film's "Twist and Shout" parade sequence. There's also a bus tour of some of the sites in the film as well. Tickets for the three day event will set you back $300. But then, life moves pretty fast. If you don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.
PS: At this point, none of the film's stars, which included MATTHEW BRODERICK, MIA SARA, CHARLIE SHEEN, ALAN RUCK, JENNIFER GREY, JEFFREY JONES and BEN STEIN --will actually be attending. For more fun and pics, check the Twitter page #FerrisFest.Animal Stories:
Rattlesnake Island has a nice ring, or rattle, to it. The state of Massachusetts is planning to establish a venomous rattlesnake colony on an off-limits island. TOM FRENCH, who works for the Division of Fisheries and Wildlife, says residents are worried that the snakes might escape from the island. "People are afraid that we're going to put snakes in a place of public use and that they are going to breed like rabbits and spread over the countryside and kill everybody," he said.
The colony is meant to be a breeding program to increase the rattlesnake population in the state. (Myers) -
