The Reel Deal:
You may have seen KEVIN SMITH and JASON MEWES in several of Kevin's movies playing a couple of potheads named Jay and Silent Bob. In the "Clerks" film series, they spend most of their time selling pot in front of the convenience stores.
Now, however, Daily Variety reports the popular pothead characters are getting their own video game, thanks to a crowd-funding site (HERE) looking to get $400-thousand dollars to fund and distribute the game. Investors will also share in the profits should the game become a success.
In the game, "Jay and Silent Bob: Chronic Blunt Punch," you can play as either Jay or Silent Bob searching a mega-mall for you trapped pot customers. It'll be out on PS$, Xbox One and PC.Broadcast, cable and video news:
Look for "Rock of Ages" dancer/actor COLT PRATTES to take on the PATRICK SWAYZE role in the upcoming ABC remake of "Dirty Dancing" opposite ABIGAIL BRESLIN's "Baby."
You can see why producers chose Colt by checking out his super-toned physique on his Instagram account HERE.
If you missed the 1987 original, it's about a young woman who goes on vacation with her parents to a resort in the Catskills and falls head-over-heels for the dance instructor at the resort. The original starred JENNIFER GREY as "Baby."
Deadline reports DEBRA MESSING also stars as Baby's mother, Marjorie.Losers in Lockup:
Warning --note content in the following:
Let's hope no one tried to call him! A prison in a Sydney, Australia, maximum security prison kept a cell phone in his rectum for 12 days and went on a hunger strike so he wouldn't pass it. KON GEORGIOU, in jail for a triple homicide, wasn't supposed to have a cell phone and wanted to keep the illegal item in his possession. Corrective Services minister DAVID ELLIOT said, "Today inmate Georgiou sat in the BOSS chair and no metal was detected. He has been moved to a segregation cell within the High Risk Management Correctional Centre. Georgiou will no doubt sleep a little more comfortably tonight. I'm delighted that he no longer has access to a mobile phone and will remain in isolation in Supermax."
He was using the phone to post pictures of himself on Facebook and write inspirational posts thanking his friends for their "strength." (Myers)Small town, small people:
One village in India has made it illegal for single women to own cell phones.
DEVSHI VANKAR, leader of the village of Suraj, says, "Why do girls need cell phone? Girls should better utilize their time for study and other works." Single women found in possession of a phone will be fined $30-dollars per offense.
The policy is proving popular with villagers in Suraj because cell phones are viewed mostly as dating tools for young people. (Still)Models:
GIGI HADID's fans are mad that publishers keep Photoshopping out her many, many moles. Gigi has numerous prominent moles visible on her body - most notably on her neck and torso. But Us Weekly says you'd never know it to look at her latest fashion spread in Vogue's Chinese edition. Or her basically-naked Vogue Paris cover. Or in her nearly-naked Victoria's Secret shots. Fans seem to want Gigi's body moles left alone. (Bartha)
