Men in Uniform:
The US Secret Service has called for a bigger fence to be installed around the White House after a number of people have attempted to jump over the fence onto the grounds of the executive mansion this year.
The new fence would reportedly be just shy of 12 feet including 1 3/4-inch picket spikes and taller gates near entrances. The current fence is six-feet tall.
The fence would also include "intrusion detection technology" as well, according to the Secret Service.London tabloids:
PARIS HILTON is up to her old tricks now that she's single once again. The UK's Daily Mail spotted the blonde heiress wearing black thigh-high suede boots, a matching long-sleeve crop top and super-short skirt while heading out for a shopping trip in London. As luck would have it, she "accidentally" showed off her hind quarters right after smiling for waiting photographers. (Lee)
On, off and way-off-Broadway:
The folks that brought you the endless "NOW That's What I Call Music" series now have a Broadway edition. "NOW That's What I Call Broadway" has 18 tracks from legendary original cast recordings. That includes "Seasons Of Love" from "Rent"; MICHAEL CRAWFORD singing "Music of the Night" from "Phantom of the Opera"; "Memory" from "Cats" sung by BETTY BUCKLEY and more. The album is on sale now. Drug Bust of the Day:
A New Jersey man calling himself NJ WEEDMAN has been arrested again. Can you guess the charges?
Cops say the man --real name ED FORCHION-- was taken into custody during a raid of his Trenton restaurant and "cannabis temple." The raid comes after multiple neighbor complaints about people going in and out of the temple at all hours of the night. Police allegedly confiscated over 11-hundred grams of marijuana, 32-grams of cannabis candy, and over a pound of marijuana butter.
It's probably no surprise that Forchion's business has been the target of multiple investigations. After all, he opened the temple right across the street from Trenton City Hall. (Still)TV Briefs:
When you're dating that special person --which date means you finally have committed to that other person?
Many people think it's "The 10th Date" --which is the title of a new Lifetime movie being done by WENDY FINERMAN, who did the movie version of "The Devil Wears Prada."
Deadline reports the film could also serve as a backdoor pilot for a series based on the same premise.
