Trolling for publicity:
Having a father named BEN AFFLECK has it's perks. The A-lister revealed to GRAHAM NORTON on his British talk show that he took his son, SAMUEL, for a play date in London and was shocked to see tons of nicely-dressed people with earpieces. Turns out those weren't doting parents, but the royal security detail as PRINCE GEORGE and PRINCESS CHARLOTTE were playing with his mini-me.
Unfortunately, there was lots of sniffles afterward and Ben can't wait to explain to his little guy that he "got a cold from the King of England!" (Lee)On, off and way-off-Broadway:
"The Hamilton Mixtape" will be out on December 2nd but will be available for preorder starting today. It has all sorts of artists covering songs from the megahit musical. The show's creator and star, LIN-MANUEL MIRANDA unveiled the track listing yesterday. It features THE ROOTS, NAS, BUSTA RHYMES, USHER, SIA, KELLY CLARKSON, ALICIA KEYS, WIZ KHALIFA, and Lin himself from his original demo recordings. (Marino)
TV Briefs:
The USA network will be rolling out the new season of "Suits" on Wed, Jan 25.
The network says that with Jessica's exit from the show, Harvey and Louis "more than ever will rely on the wit and intuition of Donna and Rachel to keep them on track," while Mike is outta jail (finally) and reunited with Rachel.
Look for the show to pick up a few eyeballs as well, thanks to the news that MEGHAN MARKLE, who plays Rachel, is dating PRINCE HARRY of England.Bigfoot, Nessie, Chupacabra, etc:
So Bigfoot hunting for extra credits isn't a thing?
Dr. CHRISTOPHER DYER, the Executive Director of the University of New Mexico's Gallup campus, organized a two-day Bigfoot conference on campus. Probably wouldn't have been a big deal, except that it got billed to the school, meaning the taxpayers picked up the $78-hundred dollar tab. The guest speaker along, Dr. JEFF MELDRUM, a self-proclaimed Bigfoot expert, was paid one thousand dollars. Dyer said university money is always used for research projects and he feels that he did nothing wrong. (Myers) -
