Sucking Up:
Over the weekend, somebody hacked into Google maps and renamed Trump Tower in midtown Manhattan --labeling it "Dump Tower."
Google fixed it late Saturday --before the President-elect was due to return to his home.
Editor's note: Although I'm sure the Secret Service doesn't need to use Google Maps to find Trump Tower when they're ferrying him back and forth from the airport.Black Friday results:
While physical traffic to brick-and-mortar stores declined, the National Retail Federation says over the entire post-Thanksgiving shopping weekend, 154-million consumers shopped either in stores or online --up from 151-million last year. They spent roughly $289 each, down from $300 last year. That might be due to discounts: almost a third of shoppers say they bought 100-percent of their items on sale, up 11-percent from last year. 2016 Holiday shipping cut off dates:
You've got less than a week to get that package off to that serviceman or woman overseas. The last date for Parcel Airlift Mail to an APO/FPO or DPO box is this Fri, Dec 02. If you're sending First-Class or Priority Mail (letters/cards and packages) you have until Dec 09. The last date for Priority Express Mail Military Service is Dec 16.
On, off and way-off-Broadway:
"The Phantom of the Opera" is already the longest-running musical on Broadway, but today it marks an even bigger milestone. Playbill.com says tonight's performance is number 12,000. The ANDREW LLOYD WEBBER show opened January 26th, 1988. More than 17-million people have seen "Phantom" on Broadway, and the show has grossed more than $1-billion dollars. (Marino)
