The private service for friends and family of CARRIE FISHER and DEBBIE REYNOLDS was held yesterday at the Beverly Hills compound where they both lived next door to each other. MERYL STREEP, MEG RYAN, ELLEN BARKIN, TAYLOR LAUTNER, JAMIE LEE CURTIS, GWYNETH PALTROW, MEG RYAN, ALEX TREBEK and ED BEGLEY, Jr, were among those spotted entering the property in the Coldwater Canyon area of Los Angeles.
They are reportedly being buried today at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in the Hollywood Hills, where dozens of other celebrities are already at rest, including BETTE DAVIS, PAUL WALKER, FLORENCE HENDERSON and writer/director GARRY MARSHALL.
Meanwhile, Broadway theaters announced yesterday they'll dim their marquee lights tonight for one minute at 7:45 pm (Eastern), in memory of the pair.

Fans of actress CARRIE FISHER are lobbying Disney to make Carrie's "Star Wars" character, Princess Leia, an official "Disney princess." A new petition at Change.org is asking Disney --which picked up the "Star Wars" franchise when it bought Lucasfilm in 2012-- to break from tradition and include a live-action character among its line of official princesses.
There are also Change.org petitions to Lucasfilm to give Carrie top billing in "Star Wars: Episode VIII," to NASA asking them to name a star after Carrie, and to Disney asking that they build a statue of General Leia Organa at the new Star Wars Land.

Washington, DC insiders say President BARACK OBAMA and his wife, MICHELLE, are rumored to be tossing a big "going away" party tonight with a big celebrity guest-list including BEYONCé and JAY Z, STEVIE WONDER, BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN, PAUL McCARTNEY, USHER, EDDIE VEDDER, movie directors GEORGE LUCAS and J-J ABRAMS, OPRAH WINFREY, SAMUEL L JACKSON and BRADLEY COOPER --and that's just to name a few.
