I'm a Poll Man:
A new ABC News/Washington Post poll says almost three-quarters of Americans think President-elect DONALD TRUMP should release his tax returns. Seventy-four percent say Trump should release his tax returns, which the president-elect refused to do during his campaign.
Despite that number, Trump told reporters last week that no one but members of the media care about his tax returns, reiterating that he won't release them while he's under federal audit. (Pacelli)Trendspotting:
Third-eye sunglasses are making a comeback. PRINCE originally made them famous, and Racked.com says they're coming around again. JADEN SMITH was been spotted in the specs at Coachella, and Etro just showcased a pair at men's fashion week in Milan Italy. (Bartha)
On, off and way-off-Broadway:
The music of the GO-GO's is featured in a new musical called, "Head Over Heels." The New York Post says MICHAEL MAYER, who directed Broadway's "American Idiot" and "Spring Awakening" is running a developmental lab for the show in New York City. The musical had its world premiere over the summer at the Oregon Shakespeare Festival, and this workshop is to get the show ready for Broadway. One of the producers is actor DONOVAN LEITCH, son of the singer DONOVAN. The story is set in the Elizabethan period. (Marino)
Taking everything much too seriously:
A California man just built the world's largest Nerf gun.
Mechanical engineer MARK ROBER says he came up with the idea for the oversized Nerf weapon to gain superiority in what he calls an ongoing office Nerf war. Rober explains, "Everyone in the office has Nerf guns and they shoot each other with them.". And it worked! In addition to being gaining Nerf superiority on the office battlefield, Rober now has an official Guinness Records certificate hanging over his desk. (Still)
