Sucking the life out of the wire services:
ALEC BALDWIN is not just doing his DONALD TRUMP impersonation on "Saturday Night Live" --he did it last night at the demonstration in front of the Trump International Hotel and Tower in New York City.
There were hundreds of people outside the hotel, including New York Mayor BILL DE BLASIO, along with stars ROBERT DE NIRO, SALLY FIELD, CHER, SHAILENE WOODLEY, MARISA TOMEI, JULIANNE MOORE and MARK RUFFALO.
Baldwin began his remarks with his impression of Trump, saying "I just want to say, that standing out here in the freezing cold for a long time. I have to pee, but I'm holding it in. I'm going to the Russian Consulate later tonight."The Politics of Fashion:
Be on the lookout for a lot of women making political fashion statements this weekend. As you may have heard, Women's Marches are going on in Washington DC and in all 50 states this weekend. The "Pussyhat Project" (mentioned in RBRyesterday) has resulted in a nationwide pink yarn shortage as crafters are furiously knitting pink hats for marchers to wear. Fashionista.com says some other fashion sparked in protest to the incoming administration include Nasty Woman shirts and "Already Great" hats and sashes that call back to those worn by America's original suffragettes. TV Tidbits:
JANE LYNCH will be playing former U.S. Attorney General JANET RENO in the upcoming Unabomber miniseries, "Manifesto," for the Discovery Channel.
As we've mentioned before, "Captain America: Civil War's" PAUL BETTANY will play TED KACZYNSKI, with "Avatar's" SAM WORTHINGTON (as FBI agent JIM "Fitz" FITZGERALD) and "Game of Thrones'" KEISHA CASTLE-HUGHES (as his partner, TABBY). "The Good Wife's" CHRIS NOTH will also play DON ACKERMAN, who headed up the Bay Area's division of the FBI and was the guy who supervised the Unabomber Task Force.Animal Stories:
A goat was caught on video eating sour candy inside a convenience store.
Witnesses say the hungry animal wandered into a 7-Eleven in Tigard, Oregon --near Portland-- and helped itself to Sour Skittles. KATELYN LUND caught video of the bizarre sight. The clip has gone viral with millions of views. Lund says the shoppers were completely "nonchalant" about the goat as if it happens every day. (Still) -
