It's not about money, it's about God. No, it's about money.
Grant County, Kentucky, is the home of the Ark encounter, the 510-foot replica of Noah's Ark. It's been open for seven months and so far has attracted just shy of 650-thousand people. KEN HAM, the founder of Answers in Genesis --who built the ark-- says that area travel agents can't keep up with the calls about his baby and it's only getting better.
However,Grant County executive STEVE WOOD tells a different story. "It's been a great thing but it's not brought us any money," he says. "I was one of those believers that once the Ark was here everything was going to come in. But it's not done it... I think the Ark's done well and I'm glad for them on that. But it's not done us good at all." Wood said the county may have to cut jobs and he feels like he was lied to about the money the ark would bring to the area. (Myers)Morons on Parade:
A group of road workers in England came up with a way to keep from being bored.
They call it the "Cement Mixer Challenge." It involves one guy climbing into a cement mixer while his co-workers spin it. Online video shows one participant begging for his friends to stop while another spins for a few moments then falls out upside down. The clip was filmed by road workers in the town of Sutton Coldfield. It's unclear if their bosses got angry after finding out how the men spend their day. (Still) -
