School daze:
The cheerleaders at Coastal Carolina University in South Carolina have apparently been very bad girls. According to an anonymous letter that was sent to the president of the university, some team members were involved in buying alcohol for minors, paying others to do their homework, and even prostitution. Police met the girls outside a practice and took them in, searching their cell phones and questioning them. They were let go later that night after police didn't find anything. The investigation is ongoing. (Myers)
Giraffe Watch 2017:
A giraffe was born! No, not that giraffe! April the Giraffe is still pregnant... but across the pond at the Chester Zoo in the United Kingdom, Mashable.com says another giraffe with no name and very little hype gave birth on Monday right in front of a web cam for all the world to see. No word on if it's a boy or a girl but if you check out the video, the miracle of giraffe life is definitely... sloppy. And kind of painful-looking. (Bartha)
Grace notes from Vinny Marino:
BRITNEY SPEARS has put a stop to politics in Israel! The New York Times says she's booked at Tel Aviv's Hayarkon Park on July 3rd for a huge concert. That's the same day Israel's Labor Party was due to pick a new leader, next door at the Convention Center for Labor. Since security and traffic would be a huge hassle, the vote has been pushed back one day to July 4th. (Marino)
