Trendspotting:
Hey kids! When piercing the hell out of your ears isn't enough anymore, get ready to try out the hottest new trend: Helix tattoos. Helix tattoos are the newest trend in ear décor, relying less on hardware and more on a real decorative tattoo curved around your ear.
Stylecaster.com says these Helix tattoos curve up around the edge (or the helix) of your ear. The trend recently blew up thanks to Seoul-based tattoo artist ZIHEE, Instagram is filled with insanely bright and nature-filled tattoos. There's no true rhyme or reason to the trend --some people, like CARA DELEVINGNE have helix-like tattoos on their cartilage-- while others are tattooing their lobes in lieu of earrings. Are you one of those diligent parents that only feeds your furbaby natural, organic foods? You may want to check the label the next time you give Bella, Chloe or Rex a feeding --The FDA says the Party Animal food company has had to recall two products --their 13-ounce cans ofCocolicious Beef and Turkey and Chicken and Beef dog food after samples turned up positive for pentobarbitol --a drug used to euthanize cats, dogs, and horses. A pet eating the food could prove fatal. More details on the FDA's website HERE or consumers can call 323-207-4100.
School daze:
Well if the football team can hold footballs this should be OK, right? The Big Lake High School trapshooting team of Big Lake, Minnesota, had their team photo rejected for the yearbook because the students are holding guns.
Coach RHONDA ECKERDT said she's none too happy her team won't be included because school policy doesn't allow firearms in pictures. Parents are going to the school board to appeal saying that the guns are equipment used in the sport and should be allowed in the photo and the yearbook. One parent said it's "political correctness has gone way overboard." (Myers)Grace notes from Vinny Marino:
Because U2 appears on "XXX," a track from KENDRICK LAMAR's new album, "DAMN," and the song's debuts at number 33 on this week's Billboard Hot 100, U2 now has charting hits in the 80's, 90's, 00's and 10's. Only MICHAEL JACKSON, MADONNA and "WEIRD AL" YANKOVIC can also make that claim. (Marino)
