An unusual event yesterday when the person who wears the "Mr. Met" costume was fired after being recorded flipping the bird to at least one fan --while in costume.
Turns out a Twitter user named ANTHONY DeLUCIA recorded the event as the mascot was walking between the bleachers to the NY Mets' team's entrance, then shows the mascot turning around and extending his over-sized cartoon middle finger to whomever was recording him.The Reel Deal:
That classic dance floor from the movie, "Saturday Night Fever," is being auctioned off next month by the auction house, Profiles in History.
The 24-by-16 foot dance floor has more than 250 separate light compartments, and was fitted into 2001 Odyssey, a small club in Brooklyn, where the famous dance scenes were filmed. When the club closed in 2005, it was picked up by VITO BRUNO, one of the employees, who's now giving it up. The auction house says it could fetch up to $1.5 million dollars.

South Carolina police say a jail inmate tried to escape but was thwarted by an ordinary citizen.
Prisoner EZEKIEL STEVENSON was being guarded by police during a hospital visit. But, cops say he broke free, pulled a driver from a car, and tried to make a getaway. But, officers say Stevenson was counting on the quick-thinking driver, who held onto his key fob. The unidentified driver used the device to shut off the car's engine, preventing Stevenson's getaway.
Cops say Stevenson tried to lock himself in the vehicle so they couldn't get him. But, the driver just kept unlocking the car until cops were able to pull the suspect out.
Stevenson did manage to break free as second time, fleeing into the woods as cops fired off warning shots. But, he was re-arrested within the hour. (Still)Sucking the life out of the wire services:
If you listen really carefullyyou can hear some of Hollywood's biggest names screaming in frustration and the latest Tinseltown scandal has nothing to do with Russia or the KARDASHIANS. TMZ reports Dr. ZAIN KADRI is having some serious trouble with a former staff member, who helped themselves to 15-thousand medical files featuring before-and-after pictures of patients who were undergoing plastic surgery! His office is located on Rodeo Drive, has treated a boatload of big names and some of the shots have already popped up on social media.
The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department is on the case. (Lee) -
