What's the Buzz:
Disney says its Hall of Presidents attraction in Orlando, FL, will feature an audio-animatronic representation of PRESIDENT TRUMP when it reopens in late 2017.
Disney Parks' THOMAS SMITH wrote in a blog that the Trump figure "will have a speaking role in The Hall of Presidents, like every president since 1993," and that a recording session with Trump "has been scheduled."
The blog post was in response to an item on Vice's Motherboard Monday, which claimed that there was an internal debate going on about Trump's figure and "whether he would have a speaking role." The Vice story was later retracted.
Obvious phoner: What should Trump be saying in the Hall --or should he just be shown tweeting (ha!).Bottom feeding:
Warning: note drug content and language.
Add JOHN MAYER's name to the growing list of celebrity stoners. The crooner reveals in a new interview with Rolling Stonemagazine that he's put marijuana "where drinking used to go" and considers alcohol an "effing con." (Lee)Saying goodbye:
A deceased Pennsylvania man will be buried in his motorcycle sidecar.
Before 89-year-old Bethlehem resident ARTHUR WERNER, Sr, passed away from cancer, he made arrangements to be buried in his prized sidecar. He bought the 1990 Harley Davidson Heritage Softail with his retirement bonus after 42-years as a welder. Daughter-in-law CINDY says "he lived for that bike."
Werner will take one final ride in the sidecar today (Thursday) before being laid to rest with it tomorrow. (Still)Grace notes from Vinny Marino:
GARY DeCARLO, lead singer of the band STEAM who had a number one in 1969 with "Na Na Hey Hey Kiss Him Goodbye" has died. TMZ.com says he had lung cancer and passed away yesterday at a hospice in Connecticut. Gary was 75. There really wasn't a band called Steam. Gary and producer PAUL LEKA co-wrote the song with DALE FRASHUER, with Gary doing the lead vocal on the session, which was originally just a b-side. It became a massive hit and a real group was put together with session players to go out on the road as Steam. Gary didn't like that sort of thing and Steam was a one-hit wonder after he decided not to continue on with the charade. "Na Na" has been covered by many artists, including THE SUPREMES and BANANARAMA. You still hear it all over the world at sporting events, and sometimes even in Congress! (Marino)
