The Reel Deal:
If you heard the title "Clinton Road" and heard it was a horror film, you'd probably think it was about HILLARY CLINTON. Nope, sorry. Varietyreports the upcoming film, which will star ICE-T, VINCENT PASTORE and ACE YOUNG is about a 10-mile section of the road which goes through the New Jersey pine barrens, and is the place where the mob used to drop off bodies. It's also where the infamous (but only rumored to be real) New Jersey Devil lives and supposedly used for gatherings of witch covens and the like.
The movie will have a bunch of teenagers going on a trip to investigate the legends... and getting trapped by a satanistic cult.Off the beaten path:
Three really uninteresting and unexciting towns have joined forces.
The towns of Boring, Oregon and Dull, Scotland became sister cities back in 2012. Now, they've invited the community of Bland Shire, Australia, to join up with them. Officials say the relationship between Dull and Boring has boosted tourist interest in both towns. DENNIS MELLOY of Dull, Scotland, says the relationship with the other two towns has "created a real feel-good factor for their communities." The trio is now looking to invite other similar towns into the fold. Melloy adds, "We've found Ordinary and Dreary, both in America, and I think they could soon be part of it all." You can now find all the lands of the "Game of Thrones" world on Google Earth! There are 33 locations --including medieval castles, maze-like gardens and rocky ports-- showing exactly where key scenes were filmed. LiveScience.com says that includes a bullring in southern Spain to film the Arena of Meereen and to St. Dominic Street in Dubrovnik, Croatia, for Cersei Lannister's walk of shame. In fact, many of the pivotal King's Landing scenes were filmed in Croatia. The crew also visited Iceland, Northern Ireland, Scotland and Spain. But fair warning: If you're just catching up now, the Google Earth "Game of Thrones" gallery contains spoilers through season six. (Bartha)
