The President at play:
PRESIDENT TRUMP is pushing back on reports that he called the White House a "dump." That assertion was made in a recent Sports Illustratedstory.
In a tweet, Trump denied that he ever told that to members of his Bedminster, NJ, golf club. He said, "I love the White House, one of the most beautiful buildings (homes) I have ever seen. But Fake News said I called it a dump -TOTALLY UNTRUE." (Pacelli)Another @$#%* Press Release:

On, off and way-off-Broadway:
BETTE MIDLER will say goodbye to "Hello Dolly" on January 14th. Playbill.com says she opened in the revival of the classic Broadway musical on April 20th, and had the biggest advance sale for any show in Broadway history. DONNA MURPHY continues to play Dolly Levi on Tuesday nights. No word on what will happen to the show once Bette leaves. (Marino)

A Colorado police officer has been helping a little girl fight off monsters.
When Longmont police officer DAVID BONDAY was invited by four-year-old SIDNEY FAHRENBRUCH to check her house for monsters, he couldn't pass up the opportunity. The girl met the officer at a local barbecue in the park. Sidney's mom, MEGAN, says her daughter wants to be a cop herself when she grows up. The little girl even wears a junior-size police uniform when she goes on "patrol" with Officer Bonday. When asked what she'd do if she ever found a real monster, Sidney said "I'd punch it in the face." (Still)Stars and their movies:
Back in 2011, the French film, "The Intouchables," was a big international hit. The movie is about a wealthy guy who has an accident that makes him a quadriplegic and then goes through several caregivers before finding one he can bond with.
Now, the Hollywood Reportersays an English-language remake of the original film is underway with a new title --"The Upside"-- and stars BRYAN CRANSTON as the millionaire who becomes a quadriplegic after a paragliding accident and KEVIN HART as his caretaker. NICOLE KIDMAN, JULIANNA MARGULIES and AJA NAOMI KING also star in the movie, which will be in theatres March 09.
