Victoria's Secret saw its sales decline every single month last year!Fashionista.com says the lingerie retailer has not yet recovered from its decision in 2016 to stop selling swimwear and apparel.
Victoria's Secret's comparable sales declined every single month last year. Things were worse in the first half of the year, with declines between 10 and 14 percent most months. Towards the end of the year, those declines shrank slightly to the single digits. Released on Thursday, comparable sales for the 48 weeks ending in December declined 5 percent for Victoria's Secret. Apparently severe winter weather can make shoplifting more difficult.
Case in point: 22-year-old DUSTIN JOHNSON of Minot, North Dakota. Police say Johnson filled a shopping cart with merchandise at a Hobby Lobby store and tried to wheel it outside without paying. But, thick snow stopped him from getting the cart to his vehicle. In fact, the cart --and $4-thousand-dollars worth of merchandise-- tipped over. Cops say that's when Johnson took off on foot, leaving behind his wallet. Cops met him at his house a few minutes later. (Still)Making your online profile stand out:
Hey singletons --did you feel particularly lonely last night? Fear not --you're in very, very good company! ANDREA SYRTASH from Match.com revealed on Fox News that the first Sunday of the New Year around 8:55 p.m. is considered the "Super Bowl" of online dating. The virtual matchmaker was nice enough to dish out a few tips to make your online profile stand out from the pack:
1. Be positive. Use words like "fun," "adventure" or "kind" to catch a potential mate's eye.
2. Guacamole is always a winner. Love seekers who enjoy the green dip were viewed as more 144-percent desirable, but Ms. Syrtash says it's not the avocado or all those anti-carcinogens --it's the fact that people were specific.
3. Ditch the selfie. You're much more likely to find a match if it's a great photo taken by someone else.(Lee)
