KATHARINE McPHEE finally confirmed the news that everyone already knows --she's hot and heavy with super producer DAVID FOSTER. The "American Idol" star told "Entertainment Tonight" that the Met Gala was a "nice date night" last Monday. The secret relationship could be the worst kept secret in showbiz --particularly since David's daughter, ERIN, called Katharine her "new stepmom" last fall.
If you're keeping track at home, the singer is 34 and her dashing beau is 68 with four failed marriages under his belt. (Lee)

Shocker:

The Mormon Church is reportedly ending its relationship with the Boy Scouts.
The Deseret Newssays a joint statement was issued by the Scouts and the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints last night, saying that the Church has decided to restructure its programs for all Mormon children ages eight to 18, and the new program will debut in January of 2020.
The church's Young Men program reportedly no longer will focus on supporting boys to become Eagle Scouts, while the Young Women program will no longer will emphasize personal progress for girls with its eight values --faith, divine nature, individual worth, knowledge, choice and accountability, good works, integrity and virtue-- on their way to earning the Young Womanhood medallion.

The Bath Township police department in Michigan was trying to appeal to a younger crowd by putting a "PoPo" sticker on the side of their vehicle where it normallysaid "Police."
They thought it would make them more relatable and even posted a pic on their Facebook page. The public wasn't too sure about the new logo, some felt it was racist and others still thought it to be non-authoritative. See what you think when you check out the cruiser here. (Myers)
