The Former President at play:
Less than two weeks after being released from a hospital, former PRESIDENT GEORGE H.W. BUSH was treated to a performance by cast members of the touring production of the Broadway smash "Hamilton." The show is current playing in Houston.
After Bush tweeted that the cast's visit was "a complete joy," the show's creator, LIN-MANUEL MIRANDA tweeted back, "The honor is ours, sir." The 41st president posted a pair of photos of himself, one posing with the cast and another listening to several cast members singing.
Mr. Bush added, "History never sounded so powerful." (Pacelli)Today's police blotter:
A lady in Michigan was fired from an engineering firm for allegedly bringing tainted brownies to work.
Police in Saline received an anonymous tip about the brownies, so they investigated. Officers say the unidentified 47-year-old woman baked the brownies herself, laced them with laxatives, and brought them to the office hoping that a specific employee would eat them. The brownies were confiscated by police before anyone took a bite. No criminal charges were filed but the woman has been fired. (Still)Grace notes from Vinny Marino:
