Running with the Bulls:
The annual Running of the Bulls is underway in Pamplona, Spain, and this morning's run was the third one. In Saturday's run, one person was gored and so far seven people have been injured in the runs during the three days.
Interestingly, the Spanish say that the goring happened on Saturday when one of the runners was checking his phone (while running) and attempted to take a selfie. The amazing series of photos shows the bull catching up with him, sticking him with a horn and then tossing him. See the photos HERE.
"GoreBoard" Total: 11 injured so far, 1 gored.
FYI and disclaimer: Results are as of 4 am this morning; there are updated results on the website HERE. Thanks to BILL ZIMPFER for the use of the term, "Goreboard" (trademark pending).Good luck:
A Maryland man thought his lottery ticket was a loser, so he gave it away. That turned out to be a mistake.
The unidentified 67-year-old Baltimore County man purchased the $5-dollar Gold scratch-off ticket at a local liquor store. After scratching it and thinking it was a loser, he handed it to a friend. That friend later found out it was worth $50-thousand-dollars. The story has a happy ending --the friend gave it back. The man says, "The next day when he gave me the ticket, he said 'You're lucky I like you!'" He gave his friend a big hug, but it's unclear if he plans to share his winnings. (Still)Grace notes from Vinny Marino:
No "Rocket Man" for you! Secretary of State MIKE POMPEO reportedly had an ELTON JOHN CD with that song signed by President DONALD TRUMP for North Korean leader KIM JONG UN. But, the State Department said Pompeo did not give the CD to Kim on this trip. That was the nickname Trump had for Kim and when they met up in Singapore, the president asked Kim if he had ever heard the song. Kim said no, so that's why Pompeo was packing the CD. No word on why the exchange wasn't made. Trump mentioned Elton during a rally in Montana last week. (Marino)
