The Internet:
There's a new Facebook scam going around, featuring TYLER PERRY --but he has nothing to do with it and it's just a way to get your personal information.
The fake posts claim that Tyler is giving away a million dollars, with some variations claiming he is giving away cars, homes or other things, which you must "register" for.
And that's the gotcha. The personal information that's requested will give hackers a way to get into some of your private account information and (of course) get your money.
Tyler himself released a statement saying "I am not giving away anything on Facebook... I don't know who [these people] are, but every day we have to get 10, 20, 30 of those things shut down on Facebook. I am not giving away anything. Stop it."On, off and way-off-Broadway:
A stage musical based on the classic TV show "Green Acres" is in the works. Deadline.com says the production will feature the famous theme song, along with brand new tunes written for the show. Producers hope to bring "Green Acres: The Musical" to Broadway at some point. (Marino)
Looking for love in all the wrong places:
When your car is parked in the garage with the door closed, one thing you need to remember is to not leave the car running because of potential carbon monoxide poisoning from the exhaust.
Authorities say that's what happened to a woman in Newark, NJ, after her husband arrived home at his apartment complex Monday night to find his wife --and the mechanic she was having sex with-- both dead. Police told NJ.com the 39-year-old woman was reportedly paying for the work the 56-year-old mechanic did on her car by having sex with him in the closed garage. Both were pronounced dead at the scene.
The woman's husband, KAHALI JOHNSON, later told ABC he found his wife, TAMEKA, after he smelled an odor of gas and went to investigate the source. Then he and police later discovered the bodies.
