Auto World:
That Ferrari that Ferris Bueller drove in the movie, "Ferris Bueller's Day Off," is up for grabs.
To be specific, it's actually a Modena GT Spyder made up to look like a 1961 Ferrari 250 GT California for the movie, and being sold off at an auction by Mecum.com on Aug 25. The folks at Modena actually made three of the cars for the movie, one of which --as you probably remember-- would up hanging from a tree.
No word on how much the replica is going for --but you can check it out HERE.The Internet:
Whadda surprise --there's already hackers targeting at least three 2018 Congressional candidates.
TOM BURT, the corporate vice president for customer security and trust at Microsoft, told participants at the Aspen Security Forum that his company had identified attempts to use fake Microsoft domains for espionage activities in 2016. And --surprise-- not only were they linked to Russian military intelligence, but the activity has continued up into this year.
Burt said the websites were linked to phishing attacks and now being directed at three candidates --so far.Feel good story of the day:
A Marine Corps vet has been reunited with her service dog after her car was stolen.
Turns out LANASU WHITNER and her hub, TIM, were on their way to their new house in Florida, when they stopped for gas in Indianapolis. That's when three guys jumped inside their SUV and drove off with Wrigley the dog inside, leaving the Whitners stranded.
Both Lanasu and Tim, who are both US Marine Corps vets, appealed to the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department to help them find their dog and they went that extra mile, posting a picture and an appeal on the PD's Facebook page as well as putting out an APB for the dog.
ABC News reports the cops recovered their SUV a day later --but without Wrigley inside. However, people in the area the SUV was recovered said they'd seen Wrigley in the neighborhood, so the Whitners tried laying some of their clothes near where the dog had been spotted, so he might recognize the smell --and it worked. See the reunion on the PD's Facebook page!
