You may never have heard of the band, DIARRHEA PLANET.
They've been around for nine years, and managed to produce three studio albums. But now, they've announced they're calling it a day. The Nashville band says they'll be playing their final two shows at the city's Exit/In on September 7th and 8th.Star Trek fans will undoubtedly be glad to hear there's a new brand of vodka out with the sci-fi series as its inspiration.
Ten-Forward Vodka is made from choice American grain, carefully distilled six times, and according to the website, part of the vodka is being sent into space, and when it returns, will be combined with the regular stuff to (wait for it...) "allow discerning vodka drinkers to go where no man has gone before." You're welcome.
The company also reportedly makes a James T Kirk Bourbon, which is "selected from choice barrels from Kentucky, Tennessee, and Indiana."Sometimes it's not a great idea to post updates on social media.
Congrats to Olympic swimmer RYAN LOCHTE, who learned the lesson the hard way, when he posted a picture of himself getting "an intravenous infusion of permitted substances at an infusion clinic in a volume greater than 100 mL in a 12-hour period without a Therapeutic Use Exemption (TUE)."
The only problem: Ryan apparently did not have a Therapeutic Use Exemption and the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency gave him a 14-month suspension as a penalty.
