You may have seen ALEX TREBEK's new accessory by now --he grew a beard before the current "Jeopardy" season --number 35-- began Monday night. More than seven-thousand people have cast their lot on a Twitter poll about the latest accessory, with around 67-percent saying "keep it" and the remainder wanting him to shave it off. Go HERE to cast your vote... there's still five days to weigh in.
This probably comes as no surprise, but a new survey from Electronic Entertainment Design and Research says about 67-percent of Americans, or roughly 211 million people, play video games on at least one type of device, with 90 percent playing on their smartphones, tablets, or both.
The survey of five-thousand people reports personal computers were the second choice for playing games, with a bit over 50-percent using them, and gaming consoles were third, with around 43 percent playing on them.
Another interesting fact --gamers say they usually play an average of 12 hours a week, or about 16-percent of their leisure time. With the passing of BURT REYNOLDS last week, AMC Theatres is bringing back "Smokey and the Bandit" for a nine-day run in 240 theatres across the country. Variety reports the run will begin today (Wednesday) and run thru Thursday, Sep 20. As you may remember, Burt played a guy called "Bandit," who partnered with JERRY REED's character, Cletus Snow, to bring 400 cases of bootleg beer (Coors, if you must know) in his big rig from Texas to Atlanta, GA, for the sum of $80-grand.
