As we pointed out, today (Thursday) is National Taco Day, which (of course) means freebies --or cheaper specials-- at your favorite Taco joint.
Speaking of which, fast food is the big choice for US dinners --a new survey from the CDC and Prevention's National Center for Health Statistics says nearly 40-percent of Americans will eat fast food during a 24 hour period. The number of people who want fast food diminishes by age, with the top group being 20 to 39 year-olds, 36.6% of which say they ate fast food in the past 24 hours. Study results in Time magazine HERE.
Show biz news:
--The new "Rambo" --the fifth movie in the series-- will have star SYLVESTER STALLONE getting dressed up as a cowboy and apparently riding a horse. Sly himself put a picture of him on Instagram wearing western gear.
--DAMON WAYANS is leaving his FOX TV show, "Lethal Weapon," after the current third season wraps up. He says the 16-hour workdays and the fact that he's a "58-year-old diabetic" drove him to the decision.
--Disney is doing a a live-action/CG remake of its animated comedy "Lilo & Stitch." The guys producing Disney's upcoming live-action version of "Aladdin," starring WILL SMITH, will also produce "Lilo & Stitch."Finally --weird story from Connecticut, where authorities uncovered a cemetery where the current manager allegedly moved headstones and got rid of old bodies in graves and stacked them up over others so he could use the recovered land for new burials.
Bridgeport cops say DALE LaPRADE also moved bodies from Civil and Spanish-American war veterans in his quest to make money and detectives reportedly found old headstones and human bones "that had just been thrown around" in the nearby woods. -
