It's no Halloween joke --Christie's Auction House in London will be auctioning off 22 of Hawking's possessions next Wednesday (Oct 31) including the electric wheelchair he used to roll around in. It's expected to go for between $12,600 and $18,900 bucks. Hawking's daughter, Lucy, says the money from the sale of the wheelchair will be donated to the Motor Neurone Disease Association and the Stephen Hawking Foundation.
There's other Hawking stuff up for acution as well, including his 117-page PhD thesis and his script from a 2010 episode of "The Simpsons" in which he appeared as well.Fast food update: Wendy's is now giving customers any sized order of its "large natural-cut fries" --whether it's small, medium or large-- for just a buck. That's a deal since the small fries usually cost $2.29, a medium goes for $2.69, and a large order will set you back $2.89.
