Hollywood experts believe "The Grinch" will top the weekend box office, pulling in between $55-65 million dollars; "Bohemian Rhapsody," in its second week, made $51-million last week; it'll likely make around $30 million this weekend to take second place on the list.
But the big Hollywood news may be the story from Variety that DIEGO LUNA will star in a new "Star Wars" series for Disney's upcoming streaming service, Disney-plus. The show will be a prequel to "Rogue One: A Star Wars Story." The new streaming service will also have a number of limited series centered on popular characters from the so-called "Marvel Cinematic Universe" and *may* have actors and actresses who played those roles in the movies doing the same role for the limited series. We'll see.
Electric Light Orchestra and Wizzard cellist HUGH McDOWELL has died from cancer, aged 65. McDowell left ELO after the band's first year along with ROY WOOD to form Wizzard, but came back and was featured on ELO's albums "Eldorado" and "Face the Music."
Upcoming hosts and guests for "Saturday Night Live" have been set for the next two weekends: "Ray Donovan" star LIEV SCHREIBER will make his hosting debut this Sat, Nov 10 with musical guest LIL' WAYNE.
Next weekend, it'll be STEVE CARELL as host (his third time) along with R&B singer-songwriter ELLA MAI, who will be making her debut in Studio 8H.
