JERRY SPRINGER is coming back to TV --but not as the host of a talk show --but as a judge! TVLine reports the new, "Judge Jerry" program will debut next fall (2019) and "will take on actual cases from real people," and "render a verdict with a fair yet firm hand and always leave litigants with a dose of classic Springer wisdom."
What are Jerry's qualifications to be a judge? Turns out he has a law degree from Northwestern University and practiced law for 15 years, before his entry into politics.
The show will be filmed in Stamford, CT, in the same studio complex where STEVE WILKOS and MAURY POVICH's shows are done.
That GO-GO's musical, "Head Over Heels," is closing on Broadway Jan 06. The NY Post says although Broadway ticket sales have been booming for most shows, the show has been struggling and only at 46-percent capacity the week of Thanksgiving.
Reps now say the show may go on a US Tour.
As for producer GWYNETH PALTROW, she has a Goop TV project in the works.
HEATHER LOCKLEAR's 5150 psychiatric hold has reportedly been extended for 14 days after she was reportedly beating up her boyfriend and throwing him out of her house. The hold was originally supposed to be just three days, but TMZ reports it's been extended for further treatment, making it a 5250 hold. It's the second time this year she's been under a psychiatric hold --the first was in June when she reportedly threatened to shoot herself because she thought her fiance was cheating on her. She was also arrested in February on felony domestic violence charges and battery on a officer after allegedly attacking her boyfriend and a cop.
