As you might expect, MICHAEL JACKSON's family was not impressed with the new HBO documentary, "Leaving Neverland," which debuted last weekend at the Sundance Film Festival. The film --which hasn't made it to TV yet, has JAMES SAFECHUCK and WADE ROBSON claiming that Michael sexually abused them over a period of several years when they were children.
Robson met Michael in Australia when he was five years old and says he stayed with Michael at the Neverland Ranch on several occasions. Safechuck --who's now 40-- appeared with Michael in a Pepsi commercial when he was 10 and also spent time at the Ranch as well. The New York Times says ALANIS MORISSETTE's musical version of "Jagged Little Pill" will be headed to Broadway. The show debuted at the American Repertory Theater in Cambridge, Massachusetts last year, will hit Broadway in the fall. Playbill says there's no word on a theatre or dates yet. DIABLO CODY, who wrote "Juno," did the book for this show as well, and it tells the story of a multi-generation, multiracial suburban family grappling with a series of distressing events.
Everybody in the theme park world is talking about a new "Zootopia World" possibly being installed in Disney theme parks. The first one is reportedly going to be installed in the Disney park in Shanghai, China, with the usual food, merch and entertainment from the movie as part of the attraction.
The reason for Shanghai is fairly obvious when you consider that "Zootopia" was that country's first number one animated movie in history. No word on whether it'll be installed in Anaheim in the near future. -
