Of course you wanna take that special person out for dinner --or maybe just lunch if you're at work-- for Valentines Day. Where do you go? Thanks for asking!
A bunch of restaurants have specials for the big day:
--Auntie Anne'shas a coupon to get buy-1-get-one pricing on heart-shaped pretzels. HERE.
--Baskin-Robbinshas a $5 Love & Kisses Sundae, which features scoops of Cherry Cordial and mini Hershey's Kisses candy.
--Chick-fil-ahas a heart-shaped tray special with 10 (or for the really big spenders) 30 Chick-n-Mini sandwiches at participating locations.
--Dunkin' Donuts(now just Dunkin') is bringing back their Valentine's Day specialty donuts.
--The Hard Rock Caféwill be producing Sweetheart Shake for Two, with vanilla vodka, creamy vanilla ice cream, strawberry and lemon and topped with whipped cream.
--Krispy Kremeis doing "conversation donuts,' kind of like those little candy hearst with sayings on 'em (which they don't make any more}. So you can give that special person a big donut with a message like "Be Mine." And no, there's no "Eat Me," but they will have a message which says "DM me."
--The Manly Man Companyhas put together beef jerky bouquets, and Olive Gardenis also on the bouquet bandwagon --but in their case it's breadstick bouquets.
--Finally, Hooter'sis once again doing their annual "Shred Your Ex" deal, where you bring a photo of your ex in, shred it and you'll get 10 free wings when you buy 10.
Of course, this brings up the talkable: what's the best thing to do for Valentines Day --or the best place to propose on the big day, because you KNOW people will be doing that. Then, with Valentines Day out of the way, Monday is another potential government shutdown. Make sure your freezer is well stocked.
