You may have heard about another tragedy yesterday as it was revealed that NY Mets former star pitcher TOM SEAVER has been diagnosed with dementia and decided to retire from public life. The 74-year-old Seaver helped the 1969 Miracle Mets win the World Series, won the Cy Young Award and later was voted into Baseball's Hall of Fame on the first ballot in 1992, receiving 98.8 percent of the vote.
Disney announced yesterday that their "Star Wars" theme parks in both Disneyland and Hollywood Studios in Florida will be opening up this year. The new theme park will open May 31 in California and August 29 at in Florida. Disney officials say the new parks will be virtually identical, so there's no reason to go to one or the other for a better "Star Wars" experience.
Food news: Chick-fil-A announced yesterday they were bringing back their fish sandwich for Lent at participating locations through April 20, 2019 (the day before Easter). As you probably know, the franchise stores are closed on Sundays, so you wouldn't be able to grab one on Easter anyway.
Participating locations will also be offering 2- and 3-count fish tender meals, served in boxes with a side of Waffle Potato Fries.After today, the annual Iditarod race up in Alaska, will be halfway done as the mushers reach Shageluk, 487 miles from the start of the 998-mile race. NICOLAS PETIT is in the lead, followed by ALIY ZIRKLE, JOAR LEIFSETH ULSOM and MARTIN BUSER, all of who made it to the halfway point --Iditarod-- yesterday.
