Yikes! A new study from Northwestern University published in the Journal of the American Medical Association, claims that people who down three or four eggs a day have a higher risk of both heart disease and early death.
You already knew that eggs are a major source of cholesterol --about 185 milligrams in each one-- and the study of more than 29-thousand people over a 17 ½ year period says if you eat more than 300 milligrams of dietary cholesterol, you'll have a 3.2% higher risk of heart disease and a 4.4% higher risk of early death. Plus, each additional egg on top of that gives you a 1.1% higher risk of cardiovascular disease and 1.9% higher risk of early death due to any cause.Feel-good story of the day: In North Carolina, a Baptist pastor named BILLY HOUZE began suffering kidney failure following a gall bladder surgery two years ago. And, tragically, none of his family were a match to donate --and doctors said putting him on the donor list *might* get him a kidney in seven years.
But doctors said he would not survive past five years.
Then they tested DeLAUREN McKNIGHT, the daughter he adopted 27 years ago, in 1992 --and found even though she was not related to him in any way, she was a perfect match. Now, DeLauren has agreed to donate her kidney, saving his life.Looks like that upcoming "Sopranos'" prequel film is coming together. "Entertainment Tonight" reports the movie will simply be called "Newark" and it'll be in theaters Sep. 25, 2020.
As you may know already, MICHAEL GANDOLFINI, the late JAMES GANDOLFINI's son, will be playing Tony Soprano as a teenager in the film, which will be set during the Newark, New Jersey, riots of 1967. VERA FARMIGA, RAY LIOTTA, JON BERNTHAL and COREY STOLL will all star in the film as well. -
