The Washington Post says parent company American Media CEO DAVID PECKER (not a typo) is getting "intense pressure" to sell it off because of "the financial difficulties of the tabloid business" and "the Enquirer's tactics." The list also includes the Globe and National Examiner as well.
American Media was acquired by Chatham in 2014 after filing for bankruptcy in 2010 with $1 billion in debt, a pretty good reason in itself to unload the tabloid.A Zombie movie is set to kick off this year's Cannes Film Festival. "The Dead Don't Die," starring BILL MURRAY, CHLOE SEVIGNY, ADAM DRIVER and TILDA SWINTON with the first three playing small-town sheriff's deputies battling it out with the undead. The movie opens here in the US a month later, on June 14.
