TV news: Fox has canceled the Marvel series "The Gifted" after two seasons and LIL REL HOWERY comedy "Rel" after one season.
The latest season (number 35!!!) of "Jeopardy!" wrapped up yesterday, and host ALEX TREBEK released a video on Twitter, saying he's healthy enough to continue hosting the popular game show next season. Although he is coping with Stage 4 pancreatic cancer, he said "Despite what you may have heard, I'm feeling good, I'm continuing with my therapy and we, by we, the staff, are already working on our next season, the 36th year of 'Jeopardy!'" he said.TAYLOR SWIFT, CELINE DION, ARIANA GRANDE, K-Pop superstars BTS, R&B singer KHALID, and reggaeton artist OZUNA are the influential musical artists selected for "Time's 100" list. Taylor and Khalid will be performing at the gala celebrating the cover on April 23.
Probably no surprise that "Game of Thrones'" season 8 premiere on HBO was pirated almost 55 million times worldwide in the first 24 hours. The analytics firm MUSO says around three-quarters came from unofficial streams of the episode, with web downloads accounting for 12.2 percent of views. 17.4 million viewers watched on one of HBO's three platforms (HBO itself and its two internet streaming services, HBO Go and HBO Now). In the US alone, MUSO reports there were nearly 4 million illegal views.
Food news: Carl's Jr. has announced it'll be testing out a cannabis burger this Saturday, not coincidentally 4/20. But --it's only gonna serve the "Rocky Mountain High: CheeseBurger Delight" burger at one location in Denver --and only for that one day. It'll also cost $4.20 and will be topped with CBD-infused Santa Fe Sauce, which the company says is a non-psychoactive hemp derivative. The regular CheeseBurger Delight consists of two beef patties, topped with pickled jalapenos, pepper jack cheese, and comes with fries.
MEGHAN MARKLE's baby --or babies-- are thought to be arriving this weekend. Some people believe there will be twins, and Ladbrokes has made the odds 3/1 that she'll giving birth between Good Friday and Easter Monday. The royal baby --called "Baby Sussex" (Prince Harry is the Earl of Sussex)-- could also be born on the birthday of the Queen, who turns 93 on Easter Sunday. As far as names go, the betting sites say Elizabeth and Diana are the joint front runners at 6/1, followed by 8/1 for Victoria. Albert and Philip are the most popular boys' names at 12/1.
