Rock and roll news... none other than former VAN HALEN star SAMMY HAGAR and chef GUY FIERI will be selling a new tequila called Santo Fino Blanco this spring. It's not the first booze project for Hagar. Sammy started with Cabo Wabo tequila, selling it to Gruppo Campari in 2007 for nearly $80 million. And in 2017, Hagar and Maroon 5 singer Adam Levine paired up to make Santo Puro Mezquila, the world's first and only blend of tequila and mezcal. Now, the Daily Meal website reports his new tequila is made with 100 percent blue Weber agave and will be in stores next month (May).

But... Tomorrow (Friday) is National Pretzel Day, and of course Philadelphia --the home of the soft pretzel-- will be celebrating. About 80 percent of the nation's pretzel production is centered in Pennsylvania. Americans reportedly eat around two pounds of pretzels each year, but Philadelphians eat an average of twelve pounds per year; many of those are soft pretzels, while outside Philly, most Americans will eat hard pretzels made in factories and stuffed into boxes.
