MICK JAGGER was back on tour in Chicago with the ROLLING STONES Friday, less than three months after his heart surgery. Mick said hello to the city's new mayor, LORI LIGHTFOOT, who returned the favor on Twitter, and said she hopes to make it to his next show.
The Stones will do another performance in Chicago tomorrow before heading up to Ontario, Canada.Look for ROSEANNE BARR and ANDREW DICE CLAY to head out on tour together. Clay says they've been friends for 30 years, and she showed up as a surprise guest during Clay's stand-up performance in March at the Tropicana Laugh Factory in Las Vegas. It was her first public performance since ABC cancelled her show, "Roseanne," last year.
Now, Clay says their tour --called the "Mr. and Mrs. America Tour"-- will ramp up in September in Long Island and Atlantic City."Toy Story 4" may not have made as much money in the US as expected --it made an estimated $118 million, despite predictions that it would make between $140-$165 million-- but internationally it hit the top with $238 million. "Child's Play" was in second, but also missing its expectations as well.
NORAH O'DONNELL will be taking over the CBS Evening News on July 15, replacing JEFF GLOR. CBS is, of course, hoping for a ratings bump with Norah, and moving the home for its newscast to Washington, DC, from New York.
ELTON JOHN picked up France's highest civilian award, the Legion d'Honneur, over the weekend at a ceremony hosted by President EMMANUEL MACRON at the élysée Palace. Macron called Elton a "melodic genius" and lauded his work to give a voice to the LGBT community.
Elton, who was in the country as part of his farewell tour, said "I have a huge love affair with France: I have a house here, I've always loved coming here, I love the French culture, the way of life and the French people." -
