Talk show host WENDY WILLIAMS will be getting a star on Hollywood's Walk of Fame tomorrow morning (Thursday, Oct 17) at 11:30 am (Pacific). Helping unveil the star will be JACK ABERNATHY, FOX TV's CEO, and ELVIS DURAN.
Wendy's talk show --now in its 11th season-- was recently extended by FOX Television Stations through 2022, and broadcast in more than 50 countries.See ya: sorry to hear that SAM BOBRICK, the guy who created the TV series, "Saved by the Bell," has died at the age of 87. Bobrick also happened to write a song with ELVIS PRESLEY --"The Girl of My Best Friend"-- back in the day. Before his work on "Saved By The Bell," he also co-wrote "The Smothers Brothers Comedy Hour" and many other shows as well.
The good news --if there is any-- is that NBC is putting together a new "Saved By The Bell" series for their streaming service, called Peacock, which will star original cast members MARIO LOPEZ and ELIZABETH BERKLEY.While we're on the subject of sequels, it turns out MGM is working on a follow-up to the animated movie "The Addams Family" which will be out right before Thanksgiving in two years (2021). "The Addams Family" came in second this past weekend to "Joker" with around $30 million bucks.
And... yet still another spinoff... "Grease: Rydell High." HBO is reportedly working on a musical series from the original "Grease" movie for its upcoming streaming service, HBO Max. No word on who'll replace JOHN TRAVOLTA and OLIVIA NEWTON JOHN, who starred in the original 1978 musical.
Big problems for Taco Bell, who were forced to trash around 2.3 million pounds of beef used in their taco and burrito fillings from their restaurants in 21 states because three customers found a metal shaving in one of their entrees.
The company has just over 66-hundred restaurants here in the US. -
