"Tina: The TINA TURNER Musical" opened on Broadway this past Saturday, October 12 for previews. The show, which stars Tony and Olivier Award nominee ADRIENNE WARREN in the title role, will open at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre on November 7th. The show includes a number of Tina's hits, including "River Deep Mountain High," "Proud Mary," "Private Dancer," and "(Simply) The Best."
Comedienne SARAH SILVERMAN will be getting a new late-night show on HBO. The network said yesterday the weekly show would have Sarah aiming her comedy chops at the various news items as well as taking live video calls.
As part of the deal, Sarah will also be doing a new stand-up comedy special for HBO as well.The guys from KISS are currently on their "End of the Road" farewell tour and yesterday announced plans to do a show a show for a group of Great White sharks off the coast of Australia.
Rolling Stone reports on November 18th, a group of tourists from Airbnb Animal Experiences will get on a boat and then head underwater to observe sharks in the ocean, while up on top of the deck, the guys from KISS will be doing a set so the viewers and a couple of shark experts can observe their reaction. Research indicates that Great Whites are attracted to low frequencies and pulsed sounds, even rock music. “It’s not like going to the zoo,” Stanley says. “You’re actually experiencing them in their home. If people don’t cooperate, they’ll be treated like chum and thrown to the sharks.”The folks from potato chip maker Lay’s will be rolling out new Grilled Cheese & Tomato Soup flavored potato chips next Monday (Oct 21) at grocery stores around the country.
