No word on the deer he shot --members of the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission have attempted to find the deer but were unable to. They say deer hunters should wait a half-hour before approaching an animal that they've shot. There's a new musical which opened earlier this week based on Shakespeare's play, "Macbeth" --no kidding. It's called "Scotland, PA" and instead of the Elizabethan era, takes place in the 1970s and is about a burger joint in the Pennsylvania town owned by a guy named Duncan (like King Duncan in the play) with Joe McBeth as one of his employees --and yes, somebody gets killed. There's also a character named Banko, a McDuff and more. The show runs thru December 8th at Manhattan's Laura Pels Theater.
The 30th annual Rainforest Fund benefit concert is coming up December 9th at New York City's Beacon Theatre. Rolling Stone reports BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN, JAMES TAYLOR and JOHN MELLENCAMP will perform with STING at the concert, which will be hosted by ROBERT DOWNEY, Jr.
SHAGGY, the EURYTHMICS, H.E.R., RICKY MARTIN, BOB GELDOF and MJ RODRIGUEZ will also be appearing; tickets go on sale a week from today (Nov 01) at Ticketmaster. The folks at Popeye's Fried Chicken are reportedly hiring workers help man the counters as they bring back their new chicken sandwich Monday, Nov 4th. As you may remember, the sandwich sold out in just two weeks when it made its debut at the fast-food giant back in August.
