Casting call: Look for ADAM LAMBERG to join the upcoming "Lizzie McGuire" sequel series. Fans will remember that Lamberg played "Gordo" in the original series, and part of the role was a love story with HILLARY DUFF's character, Lizzie. Now, it'll be 15 years later and we'll see what they've been up to since then. We know about Lizzie's character --she's an assistant to a fancy New York City decorator and is living in an apartment in Brooklyn.
Back for another go-round: Nickelodeon will be doing a "Paddington" TV series, based on the two movies with the animated character. Actor BEN WHISHAW will be doing Paddington's voice again as well. The series begins Jan 20.
Also coming back: another "Joker" movie. You could've guessed this one --thanks to the mega-buck success of the first film, The Hollywood Reporter says director TODD PHILLIPS is looking to do another film with JOAQUIN PHOENIX as the star. No word from Joaquin at this point.
Achtung: the Austrian government has decided that the apartment building where German dictator ADOLPH HITLER was born will be used for a police station.
The reason: the building, which is in the north-western Austrian town of Braunau am Inn, has been a pilgrimage site for neo-Nazis. As a result, back in 2016, it was going to be demolished. Then, after it was forcibly acquired by the Austrian government in 2017 for close to $900-thousand dollars, the government decided the change to a police station would prevent any further "national socialist activity."
Now, they're holding a competition across the European Union to redesign the building.Whoops: In California, a FedEx driver apparently in a hurry to deliver a package, tossed it over the fence into the family's backyard, but instead of landing on the porch, it landed on the family's four-pound Yorkie, named Cooper, killing it.
MITCHELL GALIN and KEIKO NAPIER said they took Cooper to the vet right away, where the vet told them Cooper had suffered injuries to her lungs and liver, and they decided to have her euthanized. FedEx has apologized, but Cooper's owners say they want the company to change their delivery policy so that drivers can't throw packages. -
