People are loving ABC's "Jeopardy! The Greatest of All Time" series which has three of the greatest contestants to have ever played the game against each other. The series had 14.8 million total viewers on Wednesday, up from 14 million on Tuesday... which made it the highest rating of the night. We'll see what Thursday night's ratings were later today/
This afternoon (Friday) will be a lunar eclipse, as the first full moon of January, which is nicknamed the "wolf moon," will show up at 2:21 pm, then, as it passes opposite to the sun, and through the Earth's shadow, will give you a penumbral lunar eclipse. The moon --while not completely blotted out-- will turn a dark red or orange color.
And don't bother looking for it, because the moon is below the horizon for us in the US of A except for Alaska.Wishful thinking: Up in Vermont, State Sen. JOHN RODGERS has introduced a bill which would ban the use of cellphones by anyone under the age of 21.
The proposed penalty for anybody caught with a cellphone would be up to a year in prison, a $1,000 fine or both.
Why does Rogers believe that cellphones should be outlawed for persons under the age of 21? He says he just wanted to make a point --that it's "clear that persons under 21 years of age are not developmentally mature enough to safely possess them," like buying firearms, smoking cigarettes or drinking alcohol.
The bill also says "The Internet and social media, accessed primarily through cell phones, are used to radicalize and recruit terrorists, fascists, and other extremists. Cell phones have often been used by mass shooters of younger ages for research on previous shootings."
The big question --would you vote for the bill if you were in the Senate in Vermont?Nice! PRINCE will be honored with an All-Star Grammy tribute concert on January 28th --two days after the Grammys-- at the Los Angeles Convention Center. But unless you're lucky enough to pick up tickets, you won't see it on TV until later this year.
