At the movies: Congrats to WILL SMITH and MARTIN LAWRENCE, whose "Bad Boys for Life" sequel topped the box office for this Martin Luther King holiday weekend. The film comes 17 years after the last "Bad Boys" film, making it the second largest MLK four-day performance ever as well as the studio's largest R-rated opening ever.
Congratulations to actress BETTY WHITE, who turned 98 over the weekend. She's been on three hit series --"The Mary Tyler Moore Show," "The Golden Girls" and "Hot in Cleveland" --when most stars are lucky to have been on just one.
Tube talk, take one: The folks who bring you "The Simpsons" are changing the voice of Apu, the Indian-American character on the show. HANK AZARIA has only been doing it for 30 years, but now both Hank and the folks who produce the series have agreed on the change, because of continuing negative feedback on the political correctness of the character from various communities.
"What they're going to do with the character is their call," Azaria said, according to Slash-Film. "It's up to them, and they haven't sorted it out yet. All we've agreed on is I won't do the voice anymore."In stores now: It's breakfast time and the breakfast cereal company, Post, is releasing its brand-new Honey Bunches of Oats Frosted cereal. This is (obviously) an extension of its regular Honey Bunches of Oats line, with yet more sugar on the granola inside... you know you want it!
