Show biz: KAL PENN, who starred with JOHN CHO in those "Harold and Kumar" movies, says he'd like to do another one, telling Variety magazine “I feel like it’s gotta be a streamer because people just love watching [these movies] in the comfort of their own home on a Friday night at 2 a.m., which is more streaming ‘binge-able’ than it is going to the theater.” Of course, with the Coronavirus closing theatres, it's probably easier --and safer-- to watch movies at home these days.
Speaking of which, CBS sez they'll be pushing back the 41st season of “Survivor” because of concerns over the growing spread of the coronavirus. The show was supposed to begin filming later this month in Fiji.
It's the second CBS show to delay production this month, the first being the 33rd season of “The Amazing Race.”
One big thing you should do is clean your smartphone. Apple has released a statement saying, “Using a 70 percent isopropyl alcohol wipe or Clorox Disinfecting Wipes, you may gently wipe the exterior surfaces of your iPhone.” But don't use bleach, or literally submerge your phone into a vat containing a cleaning agent, cause that will harm the phone.
Another interesting way of keeping your fingers clean is to carry a stylus to avoid interacting with those touchscreens that everybody else uses. Of course, you'll need to clean your stylus pen after using it, too.
Finally, a question to ask your listeners --who or what business suffers the most from the Coronavirus outbreak?
- Cruise ships?
- Theme Parks? Would you take wipes and clean up the ride before getting in --or right after you get in without touching the surfaces? Wear those plastic gloves you can toss?
- Movie Theatres, where you might sit beside somebody who's got Coronavirus?
- Concerts? Lots of them are getting cancelled.
- Or how about your local fitness club? Do you trust the other people working out --or the owners-- to clean their machinery?
- And there's more, of course...
