A happy (belated) Passover... (not!) Last night's celebration may have been a bit marred by the news that the Jewish Chronicle and Jewish News --two of England's leading Jewish newspapers-- announced they were going into liquidation because of the impact of the coronavirus epidemic. Founded in 1841, the Jewish Chronicle is the world's oldest continuously published Jewish newspaper.
Variety reports Disney Plus is working on a reboot of the TV series, “Doogie Howser, M.D.,” except that this time, the star will be a 16-year-old half-Asian, half-white girl who works as a doctor in Hawaii. The new series will tentatively be called “Doogie Kealoha, M.D.”
As you probably remember, the original series starred Neil Patrick Harris and ran for four seasons on ABC.
Farm Aid will be televised this weekend despite the coronavirus epidemic. AXS TV will roll out the show Saturday at 8 pm (Eastern)/5 pm (Pacific) with stars Willie Nelson, Neil Young, John Mellencamp and Dave Matthews performing together and separately. Willie Nelson's two sons, Lukas and Micah, will also join their dad to host.
If you don't have cable but can get on the internet, the show will also be on www.farmaid.org as well.
Is she or isn't she? “The View” co-host Joy Behar announced during an interview with Variety that she'd like to retire from the ABC daytime talk show after her contract ends in the summer of 2022. Joy, who's currently 77, has spent 21 seasons on the show. However, Joy's representative tossed some cold water on the announcement by telling "Entertainment Tonight" that she has no plans of leaving.
So we'll just have to wait and see...
