One good thing that's come out of the coronavirus --bands have started offering face masks along with their T-shirts and hoodies in their merchandise stores.
So far, Megadeth, Korn, and My Chemical Romance are selling masks, with the proceeds headed to a fund for people in live music industry who have lost their jobs because of COVID-19.
One mask maker says in many cases, old T-shirts will be recycled to create the masks.
Another good thing --McDonald’s is offering first responders and healthcare workers free Thank You Meals beginning today through May 5th. All you have to do is showing a work badge or some other proof of employment. You can order a breakfast dish along with any size soft drink, tea or hot coffee. For lunch or dinner, there's a limited choice of a Double Cheeseburger, 6 Piece McNuggets or a Filet-O-Fish, plus any size soft drink, tea or hot coffee and small fries. And it's only one free meal per day.
CHRIS PINE is reportedly in talks to star in a movie version of “The Saint,” which was a TV series in the 60s starring ROGER MOORE. VAL KILMER did a version of the film in 1997, but it didn't take off as a series.
Would you buy a t-shirt with a picture of a Chinese take-out container along with the phrase, "Bat Fried Rice" and "No thanks"? Lululemon has given the ax to an employee and issued an apology for the design which showed up on the Instagram page of the former employee. The management at Lululemon noted that “The image and the post were inappropriate and inexcusable" and gave the employee the boot after getting complaints about the post.
# # #Not really good news --Iraq has announced that it's launched its first-ever military satellite into orbit after months of failures. The US claims such a satellite would defy a U.N. Security Council resolution calling for Iran to undertake no activity which could be related to ballistic missiles capable of delivering nuclear weapons. American officials, as well as European nations, worry that these launches could help Iran develop intercontinental ballistic missiles capable of carrying nuclear weapons.
