If you didn't believe that you could get sickened by drinking household cleaners to prevent coronavirus, here's proof: two Georgia men have been hospitalized after doing just that. The Atlanta Journal-Constitution says the pair, who allegedly both have a history of mental health issues, were hospitalized after drinking household chemicals “to prevent Covid.” One of them had "at least 16 ounces of bleach," the other drank "a cocktail of Pine-Sol, mouthwash, beer, and pain medications." GAYLORD LOPEZ, the director of the Georgia Poison Control Center, told reporters “When we look at the comments that PRESIDENT TRUMP made, it’s unfortunate that people have misinterpreted it.”
QUEEN and ADAM LAMBERT have created a new version of “We Are The Champions” entitled “You are The Champions,” along with a music video, to benefit the World Health Organization’s COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund. Rolling Stone magazine reports BRIAN MAY says the song “Is for everyone who is out there working and putting their life at risk.” May began by posting homemade performances onto his Instagram page, then invited ROGER TAYLOR and ADAM LAMBERT. When they decided to experiment with a few changes to “We Are The Champions,” May figured they had a different take after Lambert's vocals changed the end of the song to “you are the champions.”
Latest problem for restaurants in this coronavirus age --people breaking in and stealing liquor. The New York Times reports the buildings themselves tempting targets when combined with the quiet streets and deserted spaces. Commercial burglaries are up 19 percent in Houston and in New York City, commercial burglaries have more than doubled from the same period in 2019.
Does your radio show talk about dating and how to find happiness or at least a hookup during quarantine? You might want to check out "Dating Diaries: Quarantine Confessions," the first podcast that delves into dating, love and isolation during the COVID-19 days. Each week, hosts ANDREA GUNNING and BEN FETTERMAN interview singles who are experiencing this Pandemic in different ways. Some recent interviews (and great audio):
- Kate, who breaks quarantine protocol to see the guy she previously started dating because she didn’t want to ruin the momentum.
- Reno, who refuses to stop seeing women because he fears not having sex more than the risk of the virus.
- Lauren, whose dating prospects have been reduced to video chatting while she craves a face to face connection.
"Dating Diaries: Quarantine Confessions" is out on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, and all other major platforms.
