Fast Food: the commercials have already begun: Dairy Queen has added a couple of brand-new flavors for it's Blizzard lineup, including the (drum roll, please) Oreo Cheesecake Blizzard and Frosted Animal Cookie Blizzard. The medium size of the Oreo Cheesecake Blizzard is 1220 calories; the large is 1640. The Frosted Animal Cookie Blizzard medium is just 1030 calories, while the large size is 1310. Good luck with that diet!
And for those of you with kids who love peanut butter (or you do): Skippy has putting out a couple of new, 6-ounce squeezable pouches which lets you enjoy either Creamy Peanut Butter or Natural Creamy Peanut Butter Spread. The Skippy Squeeze pouches are out this month at your local grocery store. (No calorie info available yet for this packaging).
Hollywood: Looks like the movie business is about to resume in California, as Gov. GAVIN NEWSOM said Friday "Music, TV and film production may resume in California no sooner than June 12th," but will be subject to approval by county public health officers, who will apparently be on the set during filming and other times. This will reportedly include film, television and commercial production.
And if you're looking for a coronavirus mask, you probably ought to make sure they've been approved by the FDA. Fox News reports nearly 10-thousand 'unapproved' coronavirus masks were seized by Customs agents last Friday, and the day before, a bunch of KN-95 masks that had been manufactured in China. And, it's not the only thing to watch for --Customs officials say they've intercepted counterfeit coronavirus test kits as well as thousands of pills, tablets, capsules and various other unproven medicines from ports in Philadelphia, Baltimore, Washington and Pittsburgh, among others.
