Sorry to hear about the death of ERICK MORILLO, who's best known for the track "I Like to Move It." The 49-year-old DJ was found dead in Miami, less than a month after his arrest for sexually assaulting a female DJ when they were working a gig together. He'd reportedly been scheduled for a court hearing on Friday.
AMC Theaters has announced they'll be honoring CHADWICK BOSEMAN with the re-release of the Jackie Robinson biopic, "42." You'll be able to see it at more than 300 locations for a discounted price of just $5 per ticket in almost every AMC location that's still open during the COVID-19 pandemic. Warner Brothers and Legendary Films, which produced the film, are also partnering with Marcus, Alamo Drafthouse, Harkins, Galexy and a number of independent theatres to re-release "42" in more than 740 locations.
While we're on the subject, AMC Theaters sez that nearly 70-percent of their locations will be open this coming Labor Day weekend for the release of the Warner Brothers movie, “Tenet.” However, some theatres have restrictions on the number of people in the theatres at any time; for instance, in California, some theatres with lower COVID rates can open to 50-percent, while others with higher rates can only let in 25-percent of capacity. In New Jersey, theaters can reopen at 25-percent capacity, or 150 people, whichever is less. And you'll haveta wear a mask, of course.
Congrats to “Judge Judy,” which is once again the top-rated show in syndication after the current season. In second place, “Family Feud,” followed by “Jeopardy!” and “Wheel of Fortune.” Judy, by the way, pulls in $47 million a year for the show, and says she's ending the show next year. When it comes to daytime talk-shows, “Dr. Phil” tops the list for the ninth year in a row.
That was the full "Corn Moon" you saw last night --according to The Old Farmer's Almanac. Next month, however, look for two full moons, the Harvest moon on October 1st and then a Blue Moon, on Halloween, October 31st.
