Everybody's talking about KIM KARDASHIAN's announcement on Instagram that "Keeping Up With the Kardashians" will end early next year --after 14 years and 20 seasons. The family later issued a joint statement, saying "We’ve decided as a family to end this very special journey... We’ll forever cherish the wonderful memories and countless people we’ve met along the way.”
Meanwhile, Variety says “The Walking Dead” will also be ending after the upcoming Season 11 on AMC. The show was supposed to air this year but was delayed due to the coronavirus pandemic, and is now scheduled to air over two years --12 episodes per year-- beginning in late 2021. AMC has also ordered a spinoff series with DARYL DIXON and CAROL PELETIER along with fan favorites NORMAN REEDUS and MELISSA McBRIDE.
The holidays are coming and just in time, a new movie called "Fatman," starring MEL GIBSON as Santa Claus. And although it's a comedy, you might not want to take youngsters to see it, since it's about a 12-year-old who hires a hitman to kill Santa Claus after receiving a lump of coal in his Christmas stocking. You can probably imagine how the plot ramps up after that!
The JERRY LEWIS Labor Day telethon is coming back --without Jerry, of course, who died in 2017-- but hosted by actor and comedian KEVIN HART. The telethon will be just a one-day, two-hour event, on October 24th, but will still feature celebrities including MICHAEL B. JORDAN, EVA LONGORIA, USAIN BOLT, JACK BLACK and more, with proceeds again headed for the Muscular Dystrophy Association.
